Fox did not play in Saturday’s loss to the Jazz, opening up a spot in the starting lineup for Julian Champagnie. While Champagnie’s impact was muted due to a 0-of-6 night from beyond the arc, he’s capable of offering solid deep-league streaming value when allowed to start.

Keldon Johnson accounted for 27 points (10-of-14 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), 10 rebounds, one assist and five three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Jazz.

Johnson only needed 25 minutes to produce one of his best stat lines of the season. While he was not in the starting lineup, the Spurs not having De’Aaron Fox may have opened up a little more offense for Johnson. Rostered in 14 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the veteran forward has been an 11th-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Johnson’s fantasy ceiling remains limited, but he may be worth a look if Fox isn’t back for Monday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Stephon Castle

Stephon Castle finished Saturday’s loss to the Jazz with 20 points (8-of-19 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one three-pointer.

If there’s one aspect of Castle’s game where he hasn’t made significant progress, it’s from beyond the arc. The second-year guard entered Saturday shooting 29.8 percent from deep, and that number will drop following a 1-of-8 effort against the Jazz. The good news is that Castle did enough inside the arc to record his second 20-point game in three appearances, and he recorded another seven assists. Fantasy managers should not be too concerned about the perimeter shooting, given everything else that Castle brings to the table.
Victor Wembanyama

Victor Wembanyama recorded 32 points (12-of-21 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists and five blocks in Saturday’s loss to the Jazz.

Wemby was inserted back into the Spurs’ starting lineup on Saturday, and he was excellent offensively. The 32 points were the most he’s scored in a game since November 10, when the phenom dropped 38 in a win over the Bulls. And Wembanyama did his damage in 28 minutes on Saturday, so there is still some kind of limit for him to navigate. Luke Kornet played 19 minutes off the bench, finishing with seven points, eight rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot. While deep-league managers may hold on to Kornet for a bit longer, standard-league managers who were streaming him can afford to move on. The Spurs open a four-game Week 11 on Monday against the Cavaliers.

Julian Champagnie and Victor Wembanyama will move into the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Jazz.

The Spurs will be without De’Aaron Fox for Saturday’s game due to left adductor tightness. His absence means that Stephon Castle and Devin Vassell will shift up a position, with Champagnie moving into the starting lineup. Completing the quintet are Harrison Barnes and Victor Wembanyama. Wemby’s move into the lineup pushes Luke Kornet to the bench.

At this stage in his career, fantasy managers know what they’re going to get from Barnes. While his fantasy ceiling is limited, the floor is stable, and availability won’t be an issue. He finished Thursday’s victory a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line, but over the last two weeks, Barnes is ranked outside the top-200 in eight- and nine-cat formats. Even with his performance against the Thunder, fantasy managers can afford to leave Barnes on the waiver wire.

Victor Wembanyama accumulated 19 points (6-of-12 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Thunder.

Wembanyama and Oklahoma City’s Chet Holmgren may not say much about a “rivalry” between them, but the matchups bring added juice whenever their teams meet. Wemby, who is still on a minutes restriction, recorded a double-double in just 25 minutes off the bench. The Spurs aren’t going to rush anything with their phenom, so Luke Kornet (six points, four rebounds, one assist and one block in 22 minutes) remains in the starting lineup. The Spurs host the Jazz on Saturday in their final game of Week 10.
Stephon Castle

Stephon Castle recorded 19 points (8-of-11 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists and one steal in Thursday’s win over the Thunder.

The lone negative for Castle on Christmas Day was the turnover count, as he was responsible for four. However, he shot the ball efficiently and led the Spurs in assists. The improved shooting has pushed the reigning Rookie of the Year into the top-75 in eight-cat formats. Rostered in 69 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Castle is still lurking on a few 12-team league waiver wires. Now is a good time to change that.
