Jeremiah Fears accumulated 18 points (7-of-19 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot in Saturday’s loss to the Suns.

Fears didn’t shoot the ball as well as he’s capable of in Saturday’s defeat, but he did match his season-high with the eight assists. Jose Alvarado’s ejection during the third quarter factored into the rookie playing 34 minutes, and there could be a suspension on the way for the Pelicans’ backup. If so, Week 11 would be a good time to roll the dice on Fears, especially with the Pelicans scheduled to play four games.
Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson recorded 22 points (8-of-11 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), four rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots in Saturday’s loss to the Suns.

Williamson once again came off the bench on Saturday, but his playing time once again increased. After logging 28 minutes on Friday, the Pelicans forward played 29 in Saturday’s rematch. Between the playing time and his availability for both games of the back-to-back, there’s a lot for Williamson managers to like heading into Week 11. The question now is when he’ll return to the starting lineup, with Saddiq Bey (17/5/2/2 in 32 minutes) being the player most likely headed to the bench.
Trey Murphy

Trey Murphy accounted for 24 points (6-of-12 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and six three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Suns.

Murphy’s six three-pointers were a season-high, and this was his first game with more than two triples since December 2 against the Timberwolves (four). Even with the decrease in three-point production, Murphy has provided fourth-round value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. As long as he remains healthy, the Pelicans forward should remain his team’s most consistent option in fantasy basketball.

Derik Queen finished Saturday’s loss to the Suns with 21 points (7-of-15 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers.

Queen has recorded four double-doubles in his last six games, as he continues to offer excellent fantasy value. Zion Williamson’s return to action has not negatively affected the rookie’s fantasy value, due in part to Zion being used in a reserve role. We’ll see what happens once Williamson is inserted back into the lineup, but Queen managers may not have much to worry about. The Pelicans open a four-game Week 11 on Monday against the Knicks.

Jose Alvarado was ejected from Saturday’s game against the Suns with 2:06 remaining in the third quarter.

Alvarado and Phoenix’s Mark Williams got into it after the former was called for a foul for running into the latter, who was setting a screen. The two players got entangled, and both eventually swung wildly at each other, resulting in their ejections. Alvarado played 14 minutes, finishing with seven points, three assists, two steals and one three-pointer.
Herbert Jones

Herbert Jones (ankle) is out for Saturday’s game against the Suns.

Jones is set to miss his third consecutive game after he was forced to leave Monday’s game against the Mavericks with a sprained right ankle. Bryce McGowens has been starting with Jones out, but isn’t much of a fantasy option with Jordan Poole playing more minutes off the bench.

Zion Williamson notched 20 points (5-of-10 FGs, 10-of-14 FTs), eight rebounds, six assists and one block over 27 minutes during Friday’s loss to the Suns.

Williamson got to the line for a whopping 14 free-throw attempts, just two shy of his previous season-high mark and came close to a full workload from a minutes standpoint after being limited in his first five games back from injury. The 25-year-old polarizing fantasy contributor is averaging 21 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.3 blocks over six games over the past two weeks. These two teams will meet again on Saturday evening for the tail-end of a back-to-back.
Trey Murphy

NOP Forward #25

Trey Murphy posted 19 points (8-of-16 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), three rebounds, three assists and four steals over 36 minutes during Friday’s loss to the Suns.

Murphy has been the most impactful all-around fantasy contributor for New Orleans this season, averaging 20.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.2 blocks over 30 games. The 25-year-old forward would be the most valuable trade chip for the franchise at the upcoming deadline, but it seems unlikely they’ll decide to move him. The Pelicans are in line for a busy four-game week coming up after a rematch this weekend against Phoenix.

Jordan Poole (ankle) is available for Friday’s game against the Suns.

Poole is back after a one-game absence, which will likely result in fewer minutes for Jordan Hawkins and Micah Peavy. Despite Herb Jones (ankle) being out, Poole will come off the bench, leaving Bryce McGowens in the starting lineup.
