Murray hasn’t played yet this season after tearing his Achilles last season, but Pelicans coach James Borrego said he expects Murray to be back playing next week. The 29-year-old point guard isn’t likely to play Saturday given his doubtful listing, but his return isn’t far off. Jeremiah Fears will end up losing some minutes to Murray once he’s back.

Derik Queen tallied 18 points (7-of-10 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks in Friday’s loss to the Bucks.

Queen made good use of his 28 minutes against the Bucks, nearly flirting with a points-rebounds double-double while being disruptive on the defensive end. His five stocks led the Pelicans, and he was also the team’s most productive rebounder on the evening. The rookie center shot very well from the floor in what ended up being his highest-scoring game of February. Queen could build off this momentum Saturday against the Sixers.
Saddiq Bey

NOP Guard-Forward #41

Saddiq Bey totaled 22 points (7-of-14 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and two three-pointers on Friday in the loss to the Bucks.

Bey bounced back from a couple of below-average scoring performances before the All-Star to finish as one of two Pelicans players on Friday with 20 or more points. Despite shooting inefficiently from beyond the arc, he still converted half of his field-goal attempts and made good use of the charity stripe. Bey was also disruptive defensively in his 36 minutes of game action and finished with a decent final stat line.
Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson logged 32 points (13-of-17 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), two rebounds and two assists in Friday’s loss to the Bucks.

Williamson was hard to stop on the offensive end of the floor, with all 13 of his baskets coming inside the paint. His interior dominance led him to reach the 30-point mark as a scorer for the fifth time this season. The former No. 1 pick didn’t provide much else aside from scoring, but his ability to put the ball in the basket on Friday was alone enough for a good fantasy performance.
Bryce McGowens

NOP Guard #11

Herb Jones, Bryce McGowens, Saddiq Bey, Zion Williamson and Derik Queen will start Friday’s game against the Bucks.

On the same day that he agreed to a three-year deal, McGowens has been moved into the Pelicans’ starting lineup. He’ll fill the void left by Trey Murphy, who is out with a right shoulder contusion suffered before the All-Star break.
