Porter Jr. was one of several Milwaukee players to struggle against San Antonio on Thursday. However, his struggles marked a season low in points and tied season lows in assists and rebounds. The Bucks won’t take the floor again until Monday against the Hawks, so Porter Jr. will have some time to regroup and look for more production in the next outing.

Kuzma bounced back from a two-point outing against the Timberwolves to record one of his best scoring performances of January. The former NBA champion mostly did his damage from beyond the arc and did so on high volume, ultimately setting a new season-high in triples before finishing as Milwaukee’s second-leading scorer on the night. Kuzma didn’t have much production elsewhere, but regardless, had a nice bounce-back performance on Thursday.

An uncompetitive game left Antetokounmpo with just 22 minutes of game action on Thursday. Before subbing out for the final time, the former league MVP shot well from the field and did what he could on the defensive end. Yet, his effort wasn’t enough to prevent a lopsided loss. The Bucks have now lost three straight games and own a 17-24 record. Antetokounmpo will have a chance to help end the losing streak on Monday against the Hawks.

Initially questionable for Thursday’s game, Kuzma is good to go after going through his pregame routine without issue. In his usual reserve role, Kuzma has not offered reliable fantasy value, even in deeper leagues.

Antetokounmpo was upgraded from probable to available ahead of Thursday’s contest, giving the Bucks their best offensive threat against the Spurs. The former league MVP is averaging 29.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game so far this season. He’ll have a chance to outproduce another top fantasy basketball option in Victor Wembanyama.

Kuzma has taken a backseat in Milwaukee with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Porter Jr. both back in the starting lineup. Over the last two weeks, Kuzma has averaged just 10 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 23 minutes per game. Bobby Portis Jr. could see an extra boost in playing time if Kuzma misses tonight.

Antetokounmpo has been diagnosed with a sprained left ankle, but the probable tag is encouraging. If he’s unable to play, the Bucks will likely call on Kyle Kuzma to fill the void.

Antetokounmpo and the Bucks were simply overmatched against the Timberwolves Tuesday. Milwaukee found themselves down 31 points at halftime and eventually lost by 33. Antetokounmpo was efficient with 25 points on 13 field goal attempts, but failed to get his teammates involved with seven turnovers and just five assists. He’s still a fantasy superstar, but he’s not going to hit his ceiling in a game as lopsided as Tuesday’s. The Bucks are off until Thursday, when they take on the Spurs.

Kevin Porter Jr., Ryan Rollins, AJ Green, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis will start against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Myles Turner (illness) is sidelined for the first time this season, which results in Portis filling the starting center role. Portis has started five games this season and has scored in double figures in all of them while also adding two double-doubles in those games.
