ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Bucks have signed Cam Thomas.

Just a few days after being waived by the Nets, Thomas has reportedly found a new home. While a player capable of putting up big scoring numbers, the guard has not shown much ability to make plays for others or defend consistently. He’ll get the opportunity to do that in Milwaukee, hopefully using it as a springboard into free agency in the summer.

Kuzma did not play in Friday’s win over the Pacers due to a sore left calf. Jericho Sims is the player most likely to head to the bench, and that would not have a significant effect on fantasy basketball.

Kevin Porter Jr. totaled 23 points (10-of-20 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), seven rebounds, eight assists and three steals in Friday’s win over the Pacers.

Porter Jr.'s second game back from injury was even more impressive than his first. He flirted with a triple-double while leading Milwaukee in scoring along the way. Poor three-point shooting on Friday was about the only blemish, which is a notable one, as he’s now gone 0-of-13 from deep over his last four appearances. If Porter Jr. can regain his form from beyond the arc, it’ll only make him a more valuable fantasy basketball option going forward.

Ryan Rollins added 22 points (9-of-19 FGs), four rebounds, four assists and four three-pointers in the win over the Pacers on Friday.

Rollins extended his streak of 20-point games to four on Friday, utilizing the three-point shot to land most of his scoring production, while joining Kevin Porter Jr. and Bobby Portis as the only Bucks players to reach the 20-point mark against the Pacers. Rollins has played many different roles and been cast into a variety of starting lineups this season, but has remained productive through it all. Given his sustained success, there’s no reason for fantasy managers to think Rollins won’t remain productive past the All-Star Break and beyond.

Bobby Portis (hip) tallied 21 points (9-of-18 FGs), six rebounds, one assist and three three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Pacers.

The Bucks secured a third straight win on Friday, with Portis’ scoring playing a key role. In his return from a two-game absence, he finished as one of three Bucks players to score at least 20 points, as he used efficient shooting to reach his high point total. The veteran forward, with Kyle Kuzma (calf) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) both currently sidelined, will continue to function as one of Milwaukee’s most reliable frontcourt options. His offensive production may be key against the Magic on Monday.

Ryan Rollins, Kevin Porter Jr., AJ Green, Jericho Sims and Myles Turner will start Friday’s game against the Pacers.

After coming off the bench in his first game back from an oblique injury on Wednesday, Porter is in the starting lineup. He fills the void left by the recently traded Amir Coffey, who’s now in Phoenix. The other change is Sims, who is promoted into the starting lineup, pushing Kyle Kuzma to the bench. Sims doesn’t offer the highest fantasy ceiling, but Myles Turner’s limitations as a rebounder mean that he’ll have chances to provide added value in that category.

Gary Harris (hamstring) is available for Friday’s game against the Pacers.

Harris is back after a four-game absence. His return likely means fewer minutes for Gary Trent Jr., but neither player has done enough to affect fantasy basketball this season.

According to Bucks head coach Doc Rivers, Giannis is “close” to returning to action.

While Giannis gave himself a timeline of four to six weeks for his return, the Bucks offered no such guarantees. Based on Rivers’ words on Friday, the Bucks star may be able to return sooner than anticipated. Just as notable for fantasy managers was Rivers’ shooting down the notion that the Bucks would consider shutting down their star forward. For now, managers should take Doc at his word but also remain ready to pivot if Giannis’ minutes decline sharply.

Bobby Portis (hip) is available to play on Friday against the Pacers.

Portis is good to go for Friday’s contest, which is great news for a Bucks team already without frontcourt members Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Kyle Kuzma (calf). Portis figures to slot in alongside Myles Turner in the opening unit, should have several opportunities to produce, and ultimately could log a nice final stat line. Friday will mark his return from a two-game absence.

Kuzma is dealing with left calf soreness, and it will cost him at least one game. Bobby Portis (hip) is questionable, and if he’s able to take the court, he should replace Kuz in the starting lineup. If Portis ends up sitting out, Pete Nance could join the first unit, and new addition Ousmane Dieng could see some run as well.
