ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Grizzlies signed Dariq Whitehead to a 10-day contract.

The 22nd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Whitehead struggled to stay healthy throughout his time with the Nets. Waived just before the end of training camp in October, he has spent this season with Oklahoma City’s G League affiliate before Thursday’s move to Memphis. Whitehead will look to use this opportunity as a springboard into something more secure for the 2026-27 campaign.

Inactive for Monday’s loss to the Suns, Small was inserted into the Grizzlies’ starting lineup on Wednesday. While he did shoot the ball well, the overall impact was somewhat muted. Cam Spencer (10/1/8/1 with one three-pointer) and Walter Clayton Jr. (10/1/5 with two three-pointers) are under standard contracts while Small remains on a two-way deal, making them safer options for managers considering which to add off the waiver wire.

Like GG Jackson, Prosper has been asked to play out of position due to the Grizzlies’ many injuries. He had a good night against the Knicks, shooting good percentages from the field and the foul line while recording a complete stat line. As long as he’s available, Prosper is worth rostering. The Grizzlies’ forward is rostered in 11 percent of Yahoo! leagues going into Memphis’ final two games of Week 23.

GG Jackson produced 20 points (8-of-12 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, one block and three three-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the Knicks.

Including Wednesday, Jackson has scored 20 points or more in three of his last six appearances. The Grizzlies forward may not bring much to the table defensively, but he has become a player who should be rostered in 14-team leagues as Memphis plays out the season. Jackson should have two more opportunities to provide value, but the Grizzlies’ second game of Week 23 is the first half of a back-to-back.

The Grizzlies made two changes to their starting lineup, with Small being made active and Prosper returning after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Suns. Taylor Hendricks is out, opening a spot for Prosper, while Small’s return pushes Jahmai Mashack to the bench.
