Coby White recorded 19 points (6-of-10 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), one rebound, two assists and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Knicks.
While he only played 16 minutes on Sunday, White was effective in those moments. The Hornets guard shot 60 percent from the field overall and 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. White’s ability to provide scoring off the bench will be critical in the Play-In Tournament, which the Hornets will begin on Wednesday with a home game against the Heat. If Charlotte wins, they would visit the Orlando/Philadelphia loser on Friday, with the winner earning the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
LaMelo Ball
CHA
Guard
#1
LaMelo Ball accounted for 19 points (7-of-19 FGs), seven rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and five three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Knicks.
Ball finished Sunday’s victory with a complete stat line, but the efficiency was somewhat lacking. A 5-of-16 night from beyond the arc lowered the overall field-goal percentage, and he was also responsible for five turnovers. However, Ball has made strides in his efficiency this season, which is one reason the Hornets managed to qualify for the Play-In Tournament. They’ll need to win two games to reach the playoffs, starting with the Heat on Wednesday.
Brandon Miller
CHA
Forward
#24
Brandon Miller (head) finished Sunday’s win over the Knicks with 19 points (5-of-12 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers.
Miller and the Hornets secured the No. 9 seed in the East with Sunday’s victory, meaning that they’ll host the Heat on Wednesday. However, he may not be a lock to play. Miller exited Sunday’s game during the fourth quarter after taking a shot to the head while attempting a layup. The Hornets never officially declared him done for the night, which may be a positive sign regarding his availability for Wednesday.
Coby White
CHA
Guard
#3
Coby White (calf) is available for Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
The Hornets need either a win over the Knicks or a Heat loss to the Hawks to secure the No. 9 seed in the East. With Atlanta, like New York, sitting its entire starting five, the Hornets need to take care of business. White’s availability will undoubtedly help with that.
Coby White
CHA
Guard
#3
Coby White (calf) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
White is not on the injury report due to the sore groin that sidelined him for Tuesday’s loss to the Celtics, and he’s considered probable for Sunday’s game. The Hornets need a win to hold onto the No. 9 seed and host No. 10 Miami on Wednesday.
LaMelo Ball
CHA
Guard
#1
LaMelo Ball had 27 points (7-of-20 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, eight assists, two steals, one block and six three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Pistons.
Ball continues to have great fantasy stats, but he didn’t have a great game against the Pistons on Friday. The 24-year-old point guard needed 20 attempts to get his 27 points and had four turnovers. As the starting point guard, he certainly had a hand in the Hornets scoring just 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Pistons pulled away. Charlotte will close out the season against the Knicks on Sunday.
Coby White
CHA
Guard
#3
Coby White (groin) has been upgraded to available for Friday’s matchup with the Pistons.
White was listed as probable, so his availability isn’t surprising. Expect him to handle his usual workload as a microwave scorer off of Charlotte’s bench.
Coby White

Guard

Coby White (groin) is probable for Friday’s game against the Pistons.
White is on track to play after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Celtics with a sore left groin. His return likely means fewer minutes for Sion James, who logged 19 minutes off the bench in Boston.
PJ Hall
CHA
Center
#16
PJ Hall (ankle) has undergone season-ending surgery to address a fractured right ankle.
Hall suffered the injury while playing for the Hornets’ G League affiliate in the first round of the league playoffs. His absence does not affect Charlotte’s frontcourt rotation, but it may affect his availability for summer league play.
Brandon Miller
CHA
Forward
#24
Brandon Miller had 20 points (8-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two assists and two three-pointers in Tuesday’s loss to the Celtics.
Miller had 20 points, but not much else in the loss to the Celtics on Tuesday. The Hornets were 16-of-49 from behind the three-point line in this one and the 23-year-old small forward contributed to the total by going 2-of-8. Miller has provided top-60 per game value this season, making him a value at his preseason ADP.
