While included on the Hornets’ injury report due to a sore lower back, Knueppel’s probable tag suggests that he’ll ultimately play. If he doesn’t play, Coby White and Josh Green are likely to absorb the minutes that would normally go to the Rookie of the Year candidate.

Moussa Diabaté recorded 11 points (5-of-6 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in Saturday’s win over the Grizzlies.

Before Saturday, Diabaté failed to hit double figures in points in nine consecutive games. He ended that streak against the Grizzlies, putting up 11 points on the night. And the 14 rebounds were the most in a game for Diabaté in just over two weeks, as he last hit that number on March 6 against the Heat. After spraining his wrist on Tuesday, Moussa did not miss any games and played 33 minutes on Saturday. That bodes well for him going into Charlotte’s four-game Week 22.
Brandon Miller

Brandon Miller accounted for 22 points (8-of-12 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, one block and five three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Grizzlies.

Miller has scored at least 20 points in two straight and four of his last six games. Against the Grizzlies, he was highly efficient from the field, shooting 66.7 percent. Add in the rebounds, assists and three-pointers, and this was a good finish to Week 21 for Miller and those rostering him. Charlotte opens a four-game Week 22 on Tuesday against the Kings in what should be another good matchup for Miller.
LaMelo Ball

CHA Guard #1

LaMelo Ball finished Saturday’s win over the Grizzlies with 29 points (9-of-19 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, three steals, one block and seven three-pointers.

Ball and the Hornets did what was expected on Saturday, picking up a 124-101 victory in which they outscored the lottery-bound Grizzlies in all four quarters. Having shot 7-of-20 from deep in his prior two appearances, LaMelo was 7-of-14 against Memphis. Ball and the Hornets begin a four-game Week 22 on Tuesday against the Kings, another team focused on player development and the draft lottery at this point in the season.

Salaün has not appeared in a game since March 3, and fantasy managers should consider him out indefinitely until the Hornets clear the forward to play. His continued absence does not affect fantasy basketball.

Coby White provided a boost off the bench with 27 points (7-of-13 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, five assists and five three-pointers in a 130-111 win over the Magic on Thursday.

After having his highest-scoring game as a Hornet in Tuesday’s win, White surpassed that mark for a second straight game. He has been a fantastic addition for Charlotte, and it’s clear he’s still capable of contributing in fantasy despite coming off the bench. However, he has been far more efficient recently than he was last season, so it is unlikely he is able to maintain this recent run of production. Still, he’ll look to stay hot against the Grizzlies on Saturday.
Brandon Miller

CHA Forward #24

Brandon Miller lit up the Magic with 25 points (8-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, eight assists and five three-pointers on Thursday.

Two games prior to this, Miller may have tweaked his right wrist in a game where he shot 2-of-14 from the floor. It didn’t seem to bother him much against the Heat on Tuesday, and it certainly didn’t limit him in this one. He had his highest-scoring game of the month, and he matched his season high for assists. This was the second straight blowout win, which allowed him to play less than 30 minutes once again.
LaMelo Ball

LaMelo Ball posted a full line on Thursday with 20 points (7-of-13 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block and three three-pointers against the Magic.

Ball got off to a hot start to this game, scoring 14 points in the first quarter. While he didn’t contribute much scoring after that, he was still able to turn in a full stat line. He certainly could’ve put up even more if the score wasn’t so lopsided; Ball only ended up playing 20 minutes. That extra rest should help him stay hot against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

Moussa Diabaté (wrist) is not on the injury report for Thursday’s game against the Magic.

Diabaté suffered an apparent left wrist injury during the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s win over the Heat and did not return. However, his name was not on the initial injury report for Thursday, indicating that he’ll take on his usual starting center responsibilities. Ryan Kalkbrenner remains in the backup role.
