Naz Reid scored 12 points (5-of-17 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, an assist, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.
Naz Reid got the start after being benched in the second half of last game, but it looks to be a one game thing. While he didn’t fill up the box score, he still filled up the box score despite it, but it wasn’t a good performance from the Hornets as a whole. If you have Naz, be patient and don’t overreact. He won’t likely go shoot 29.4% from the field and 25% from three very often.
Moussa Diabaté
CHA

#14
Moussa Diabaté scored 10 points (5-of-11 FGs), 12 rebounds, an assist, and two steals on Friday in loss.
Diabaté has been as expected this season. He has value in redraft leagues if you need some rebounding, but he hasn’t done much else besides that. From a dynasty perspective, Moussa could be someone that gets moved to a new team given the surplus of centers the Hornets have, and he should have some value given his current contract.
Brandon Miller

#24
Brandon Miller scored 19 points (7-of-24 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, a steal, a block, and three 3-pointers in 95-79 loss to Wizards.
After having three straight good games in a row against the Heat, Wizards, and Pistons, he had another bad game. The Wizards did much better on containing Miller and Naz Reid in this game which allowed them to come away with a win against them. Don’t panic after he gave you several good games and he’ll have an opportunity to have a bounce back game tomorrow against the 76ers. The Hornets will not likely shoot 29.7% from the field tomorrow either.
Kon Knueppel

Hornets head coach Charles Lee said Friday that Kon Knueppel (hamstring) responded well after a recent practice with the Hornets’ G League affiliate.
Kneuppel, who suffered a hamstring strain before the preseason, is progressing toward making his 2026-27 debut. According to Lee, the second-year guard’s hamstring responded well after a recent G League practice. Next, Knueppel needs to acclimate to his teammates after the Hornets return from their road trip, which ends on Friday. Knueppel doesn’t have an exact return timeline, but managers stashing him in an IL spot should begin planning for that day.
Dennis Schröder
CHA
Guard
#17
Dennis Schröder (foot) is available for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Initially questionable for Friday’s game, Schröder is officially available. He’ll continue as the Hornets’ starting point guard, with Sion James and Christian Anderson Jr. also having opportunities to initiate offense.

Dennis Schröder (foot) is upgraded to probable for Friday’s game against the Wizards.
Initially listed as questionable, Schröder is on track to play Friday night. If cleared, he’ll continue as Charlotte’s starting point guard while they wait for Coby White to return from a calf injury.

Dennis Schröder (foot) is questionable to play against the Wizards on Friday.
Schröder has been the starter with Coby White (calf) sidelined to start the year. If Schröder is unavailable, Sion James will likely take over point guard duties, with Grayson Allen entering the starting unit. Rookie Christian Anderson Jr. would also likely take on extra minutes off the bench, and there is a slight chance he starts.

According to the Hornets PR X.com account, Kon Knueppel (hamstring) was assigned to the Greensboro Swarm for Thursday’s practice.
Knueppel hasn’t made his 2026-27 debut due to a hamstring strain, but his assignment to Charlotte’s G League affiliate is encouraging. Knueppel could be nearing a return, and fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his status moving forward.
Naz Reid

Naz Reid had seven points (2-of-6 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds, one block and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s loss to the Pistons.
Reid was benched at halftime Wednesday. Hornets coach Charles Lee told reporters after the game that Reid didn’t meet the teams’ standard in the first half and that facilitated the decision to bench him at halftime. Lee didn’t get more specific than that. The move didn’t seem to pay off as the Hornets led by seven at halftime and ended up losing by eight. Fantasy managers with Reid rostered are likely miffed by this whole ordeal, but Lee added that he looks forward to Reid meeting the teams’ standard in the next game, meaning that the benching won’t continue.
Brandon Miller

#24
Brandon Miller had 31 points (12-of-26 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and three three-pointers against the Pistons on Wednesday.
After a rough first two games of the season where he combined for 24 points, Miller has scored at least 31 points in three consecutive games. His 12 rebounds were a season-high so far. Miller is still struggling with his three-pointers as he’s shot at least 30 percent from downtown in only one of the first five games. He’ll get his next chance to improve in that regard against the Wizards on the road on Friday.
