Ben Saraf finished Monday’s loss to the Trail Blazers with 15 points (5-of-10 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), four assists and four steals.

While he wasn’t in the starting lineup for Monday’s game, Saraf played more minutes than fellow rookie and starting point guard Nolan Traoré. Saraf played 23 minutes, finishing with a line that included a season-high four steals, while Traoré (four points, one rebound, one assist and one steal) struggled in 16 minutes of action. With Egor Dëmin (foot) done for the season, Saraf and Traoré will have their opportunities to impress.

Chaney Johnson accounted for 17 points (6-of-8 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.

Not selected in last summer’s draft, Johnson finally got his NBA opportunity one week ago. Having totaled 18 points in his first four appearances, the rookie out of Auburn recorded his first double-digit scoring effort on Monday. Add in the nine assists, and Johnson recorded new highs in both categories. However, one game does not make him a player worth picking up in any fantasy leagues.

Nic Claxton tallied 12 points (5-of-11 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 11 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in Monday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.

Claxton returned to the Nets’ lineup on Monday after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the 76ers. While he did record his first double-double since February 9 and 11th of the season, the Nets’ center was limited to 20 minutes. That’s the concern regarding Claxton. If available, his minutes will take a hit, as he’s played 28 minutes or fewer in each of his last nine appearances. Claxton did produce a solid stat line on Monday, but the fantasy upside for the rest of the season is limited.

Nolan Traoré, Drake Powell, Ziaire Williams, Danny Wolf and Nic Claxton will start Monday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

The Nets won’t have Terance Mann or Noah Clowney for Monday’s game, leaving two spots open in the starting lineup. Powell and Claxton are the replacements, with both players available after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the 76ers.

Despite backing up Nolan Traoré, Saraf played 31 minutes off the bench in Saturday’s loss to the 76ers. If Saraf doesn’t play on Monday, the Nets can play Traoré for more than the 17 minutes he logged on Saturday, with Tyson Etienne possibly getting some backup point guard reps.

Terance Mann (Achilles) is out for Monday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

Mann started Saturday’s loss to the 76ers, but had just five points in 18 minutes. The 29-year-old shooting guard is set to miss Monday’s game against the Trail Blazers with left Achilles soreness. Ziaire Williams and Nolan Traoré figure to see more usage with Mann out.
