Josh Minott (hip) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Kings.

While Minott scored a team-high 18 points in Friday’s loss to the Lakers, he took a hard fall while converting a layup during the fourth quarter. If Minott can’t play on Sunday, there could be more minutes available to Chaney Johnson. However, the minutes for Minott and Johnson have been inconsistent, making both risky options for fantasy managers.

Nolan Traoré accounted for nine points (4-of-14 FGs), one rebound, seven assists, four steals and one three-pointer in Friday’s loss to the Lakers.

While Traoré provided good value in the assist and steal categories, he was terribly inefficient against the Lakers. In addition to shooting 4-of-14 from the field, the rookie was responsible for six turnovers in 26 minutes. Ben Saraf dropped into the backup point guard role after starting the last time out, finishing with 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 22 minutes. Sunday’s game against the Kings is not part of a back-to-back, which may keep Traoré in the starting lineup. However, if he sits, Saraf will be worth streaming in deep leagues.

Nic Claxton finished Friday’s loss to the Lakers with 16 points (8-of-10 FGs), seven rebounds, three assists and one blocked shot.

Claxton shot 80 percent from the field and was solid on the glass, providing good value in those categories. However, he logged 23 minutes and has not played 30 or more minutes in a game since February 24. Given where the Nets are in the standings, that’s unlikely to change between now and the end of the regular season. While Claxton is not a player who should be dropped in all leagues, fantasy managers in 12-team formats who need more production for Sunday’s action need to seek alternatives.

Josh Minott amassed 18 points (6-of-12 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, one steal and four three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Lakers.

It is anyone’s guess which reserve frontcourt player will play the most minutes for the Nets on any given night. Against the Lakers, it was Minott, who was effective in 26 minutes on the floor. Chaney Johnson (two points, two rebounds and two assists), who’s had his moments recently, played 14 minutes. In theory, Minott’s superior night should earn him more minutes on Sunday when the Nets host the Kings, but that hasn’t been the case. Unless you’re competing in a 30-deep league, Minott and Johnson are too risky to roster.
Ziaire Williams

Ziaire Williams tallied 16 points (6-of-14 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, two assists, three steals and one three-pointer in Friday’s loss to the Lakers.

Williams has started each of the Nets’ last five games, and he’s scored at least 16 points in each. Over the past week, he has provided sixth-round value in eight-cat formats. As long as Williams is in the starting lineup, he’s capable of providing the value needed to be an impactful addition during the silly season. The Nets play once more in Week 22, on Sunday against the Kings, which would be a good spot to stream Williams if he’s available.

Nolan Traoré, Drake Powell, Ziaire Williams, Noah Clowney and Nic Claxton will start Friday’s game against the Lakers.

Traoré and Clowney are back in the Nets’ lineup after not playing in Wednesday’s loss to the Warriors. As a result, Ben Saraf and Terance Mann will come off the bench, limiting the fantasy value of both.

Clowney has officially been cleared after initially being listed as probable for this game. He’ll return from a four-game absence, which will likely push Ziaire Williams back to the bench after he averaged 17.5 points and 2.8 steals during four game as a starter.

Clowney has missed Brooklyn’s last four games, with Ziaire Williams replacing him in the starting lineup. If Clowney plays against the Lakers, Williams is the player most likely headed to the bench, which would limit his fantasy value.

Saraf played 34 minutes on Wednesday and showcased his ability to affect the game as both a passer and scorer. He was one of Brooklyn’s top scorers on the night, as he used the three-point shot to his advantage. And not only did he lead the Nets in assists, but he also led all players in Wednesday’s contest in that category. Saraf has come on strong over the stretch of his rookie season and continues to put up quality numbers for a Nets team that is far from playoff contention.
