Nolan Traoré amassed 17 points (6-of-8 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and five three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Knicks.

One day removed from scoring 16 points and making four three-pointers, Traoré was more productive on Monday. The second-year guard shot 5-of-6 from beyond the arc and scored 11 of his 17 points in the first half. Playing 24 minutes, Traoré recorded a complete stat line against the Knicks. While he may not be a must-roster player in 12-team leagues, managers in deeper formats should watch Traoré.

Michael Porter Jr. produced 18 points (6-of-13 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and four three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Knicks.

Porter shot 4-of-11 from three on Monday, but he was at his best during the third quarter. The Nets forward scored 13 of his 18 points in the period, and Brooklyn outscored New York 35-24. Unfortunately for fantasy managers and Nets fans, MPJ and the Nets went cold in the fourth, scoring just 11 points. The Nets return home on Wednesday to host the Hornets.
Mikel Brown

Mikel Brown Jr. (back) tallied 13 points (5-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, three assists and one three-pointer in Monday’s loss to the Knicks.

Brown returned to the Nets’ rotation on Monday after sitting out Sunday’s win over the Pacers. The rookie guard played 27 minutes and has played at least 22 minutes in each of his last three appearances. Brown shot 1-of-8 from three on Monday, but at times he showed why the Nets selected him sixth overall in June’s draft. Early on, the Knicks struggled to keep Brown from getting to his spots, with the rookie scoring seven points in the first half. He’ll be a fun player to watch develop.
Julius Randle

Julius Randle recorded 21 points (5-of-16 FGs, 11-of-15 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal in Monday’s loss to the Knicks.

Randle has scored 20 or more points in two straight games, but he struggled on Monday. The Nets forward missed multiple shots around the basket and had two critical turnovers as the Knicks pulled away in the fourth quarter. The good news for fantasy managers was that Randle finished with his first double-double of the season. He’ll look to be more efficient when the Nets host the Hornets on Wednesday.

Nolan Traoré accounted for 16 points (6-of-14 FGs), two rebounds, six assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Pacers.

Having started the Nets’ last three games, Traoré’s production has been inconsistent. He rebounded nicely from a poor outing against the Pistons on Friday, scoring in double figures for the third time in four games. Traoré shot 4-of-8 from beyond the arc and committed one turnover in 30 minutes. Monday’s matchup against the Knicks will be more challenging, and Mikel Brown Jr. (back) should be available, which may limit Traoré’s ceiling.
Day'Ron Sharpe

Day’Ron Sharpe amassed 15 points (5-of-7 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), 13 rebounds, four assists and one three-pointer in Sunday’s win over the Pacers.

Playing against a Pacers team without Ivica Zubac or Obi Toppin, Sharpe had his most productive game of the season. The Nets center recorded his first double-double in six games, finishing with new highs in points and rebounds. Sharpe didn’t record any defensive stats, ending his two-game streak with at least one steal and one block. He’ll look to do more on that end of the floor on Monday when the Nets visit the Knicks.
Julius Randle

Julius Randle recorded 20 points (5-of-15 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, two steals and four three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Pacers.

Despite shooting 1-of-6 from inside the arc, Randle finished Sunday’s victory with his third 20-point game of the season. Unfortunately for category league managers, Randle wasn’t efficient, shooting 33.3 percent from the field and committing four turnovers. That said, his performance against the Pacers was better than Friday’s showing against the Pistons.

Michael Porter Jr. tallied 23 points (7-of-16 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Pacers.

The Nets got their first win of the season on Sunday, and getting Porter involved early helped. The Nets forward scored seven points in the first quarter and 13 in the first half. After attempting nine shots in Friday’s loss to the Pistons, Porter nearly matched that number in the first quarter (seven). He’ll need to take a similar approach on Monday when the Nets begin a four-game week with a matchup with the Knicks.
Mikel Brown

Mikel Brown Jr. (back) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.

Brown, who missed time with a sprained ankle, hasn’t reached the point where the Nets feel comfortable with him playing back-to-backs. He’ll sit on Sunday and should be available for Monday’s game against the Knicks.

It was a typical Michael Porter Jr game where he got you points, rebounds, and not much else. He has gotten you some good steal numbers to start the year, but it’s not likely that it’s going to stick. The Nets struggled to score in this game, especially in the third quarter. You would want more than 9 shot attempts but it was just a bad game for the Brooklyn.
