The Hawks will have their preferred starting five for Monday’s game, as Okongwu and Dyson Daniels (toe) are back after sitting out Saturday’s win over the Kings. Mouhamed Gueye and Jock Landale will head to the bench, limiting the fantasy value of both players.
Jalen Johnson

Jalen Johnson amassed 26 points (11-of-22 FGs), five rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Kings.

While Johnson entered Saturday averaging a career-high 1.7 three-pointers per game, that may be the one category where fantasy managers have not looked to him for high-level production. He closed Week 22 in fine form from beyond the arc, shooting 9-of-22 from three in Atlanta’s last two games. Johnson finished Saturday’s victory with his 44th double-double of the season, and he’s scored at least 26 points in each of his last three games.
CJ McCollum

ATL Guard #3

CJ McCollum accounted for 22 points (9-of-18 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Kings.

McCollum has now scored at least 20 points in five of his last seven games. Against the Kings, the veteran guard provided solid value in rebounds and assists, along with points and percentages. The lone negative for McCollum managers is Atlanta’s Week 23 schedule. In addition to being limited to three games, the Hawks are done for the week on Friday. Managers locked in a playoff battle should hold onto a transaction or two for the end of Week 23 and move on from McCollum then.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Nickeil Alexander-Walker recorded 27 points (7-of-14 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, eight assists, four steals and four three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Kings.

Alexander-Walker has been one of the most improved players in the NBA, benefiting both fantasy managers and the Hawks. He shot 4-of-9 from beyond the arc on Saturday, and the eight assists were the most in a game for him since February 7. Add in the rebounds and steals, and this was an excellent way for Alexander-Walker to end Week 22. The Hawks play three games in Week 23, which is championship week in Yahoo! default leagues.
Jock Landale

ATL Center #31

Jock Landale produced 19 points (7-of-11 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), 13 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Kings.

With Onyeka Okongwu (finger) sidelined, the Hawks called on Landale to fill the void in the middle on Saturday. As was the case last month, when Okongwu missed time due to a facial fracture, the veteran reserve stepped up. Landale recorded his second double-double since joining the Hawks in early February, and the 13 rebounds were a season-high. Atlanta opens a three-game Week 23 on Monday in Boston, and Landale will be worth streaming if Okongwu remains out.
Mouhamed Gueye

ATL Forward #18

Nickeil Alexander-Walker, CJ McCollum, Mouhamed Gueye, Jalen Johnson and Jock Landale will start Saturday’s game against the Kings.

The Hawks are without Dyson Daniels and Onyeka Okongwu for Saturday’s game, which opens two spots in the starting lineup. Gueye and Landale will fill the voids, with the latter offering a higher fantasy upside.

Landale is good to go after missing Friday’s loss to the Celtics. With Onyeka Okongwu (finger) out, Landale is likely to start, and he would be worth streaming in that scenario.

Landale did not play in Friday’s loss to the Celtics, leading to Mouhamed Gueye slotting into the backup center role. With Onyeka Okongwu (finger) out, one of those two will likely move into the starting lineup, with Landale offering a higher fantasy ceiling if available.
