Jock Landale (ankle) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Landale has been diagnosed with a high right ankle sprain sustained during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s win over the Magic. With the two-week timeline being for a re-evaluation, the veteran backup is not guaranteed to be available when the playoffs begin. Landale’s injury leaves Mouhamed Gueye to serve as the backup center in the short term. As for the playoffs, starter Onyeka Okongwu will likely be asked to take on a heavier workload if Landale is not back by then.

Jock Landale (ankle) accumulated eight points (3-of-4 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), one rebound, one assist and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s win over the Magic.

Landale injured his right ankle during the fourth quarter when he was fouled from behind by Orlando’s Goga Bitadze. While he did remain in the game to attempt his free throws, Landale exited immediately afterward and did not return. He’ll get imaging done on the ankle, but it’s possible that he won’t be available for Friday’s game in Brooklyn. If Landale sits, Mouhamed Gueye (two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 11 minutes) would move into the backup center role.

Jalen Johnson accounted for 18 points (8-of-17 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), 14 rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one blocked shot in Wednesday’s win over the Magic.

Johnson recorded his third double-double in as many games on Wednesday, finishing two assists shy of a triple-double. When a player is as productive across the board as Johnson was against the Magic, a 0-of-4 night from beyond the arc means little regarding his fantasy value. With the Hawks ending their week in Brooklyn on Friday, fantasy managers will hope to get another complete stat line out of Johnson.

Onyeka Okongwu tallied 16 points (4-of-11 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Magic.

Okongwu did not shoot the ball as well as he’s capable of, but the Hawks center did record a complete stat line in Orlando. He’s recorded four defensive contributions in consecutive games, the first time since March 10-12 that Okongwu has accomplished that feat. Add in the rebounds and assists, and this was a good night for those rostering Okongwu, even if the shots weren’t falling.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker amassed 32 points (11-of-16 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), five rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and five three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Magic.

Alexander-Walker finished Wednesday’s blowout victory with his ninth 30-point game of the season, and he only played the first four minutes of the fourth quarter. The Hawks’ guard has scored at least 20 points in five of his last six appearances, and the 32 points were the most in a game for him since dropping 41 on the Magic on March 16. Atlanta plays just one more game in Week 23, but it’s against the lottery-bound Nets, which may be good news for those rostering Alexander-Walker.

Landale is available after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Celtics. He’ll resume his usual backup center duties, which means Mouhamed Gueye may fall out of the rotation entirely.

Landale missed Monday’s game against Boston and could miss a second straight game with this illness. Mouhamed Gueye filled out the reserve minutes at center for that game and could fill that role again if Landale remains out.

Dyson Daniels recorded 18 points (8-of-11 FGs, 0-of-1 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Celtics.

For most perimeter players, shooting 2-of-3 from beyond the arc is not a big deal. That isn’t the case for Daniels, who entered Monday shooting a career-low 15.5 percent from three. However, he may be trending in the right direction. Over his last five games, Daniels has made six of his 13 attempts, an excellent percentage for a player who has struggled as much as he has. Add in the rebounds, assists and steals, and this was an encouraging start to Week 23 for Daniels.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker amassed 17 points (6-of-16 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, six assists and three three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Celtics.

Four Hawks starters, including Alexander-Walker, finished Monday’s victory with at least five assists. He didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, shooting 3-of-8 from two, but the rebounds, assists and three-pointers may have helped minimize the sting for some fantasy managers. Over the past two weeks, Alexander-Walker has shot 50.5 percent from the field, so Monday’s performance should not cause much concern.
Jalen Johnson

Jalen Johnson notched 20 points (7-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 12 rebounds, five assists and one three-pointer in Monday’s win over the Celtics.

Johnson has recorded a double-double in three of his last four games, with two being of the points/assists variety. The Hawks’ star hit double digits in points and rebounds on Monday and was one of four starters to record at least five assists. The ball was moving well, especially in the third quarter, when the Hawks outscored the Celtics by a 36-22 margin. Johnson will have two more opportunities to put up numbers in Week 23, starting with the Magic on Wednesday.
