Vit Krejčí finished Sunday’s win over the 76ers with 19 points (6-of-9 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and four three-pointers.

While Krejčí’s production has not been consistent enough to make him a factor in fantasy basketball, he’s had his moments. The 19 points scored on Sunday were the most in a game for Krejčí since November 22, when he dropped 21 on the Pelicans. Rostered in five percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been close to a top-100 player over the past two weeks. However, with Trae Young (knee) returning to practice next week and the Hawks being off until Thursday, there’s no need to add Krejčí following his showing against the 76ers.
Jalen Johnson

Jalen Johnson accumulated 12 points (5-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 10 rebounds, 12 assists, one steal and one blocked shot in Sunday’s win over the 76ers.

With his most recent triple-double, Johnson made history on Sunday. He’s now up to eight in his career, passing Mookie Blaylock (seven) for the most in franchise history. Also, Johnson’s streak of four straight triple-doubles ties him with Denver’s Nikola Jokić for the longest current run in the NBA. While there is some fear that Trae Young’s eventual return from a knee injury may lower Johnson’s ceiling, fantasy managers should not panic. The Hawks play three games in Week 9, starting with Charlotte on Thursday.
Dyson Daniels

Dyson Daniels finished Sunday’s win over the 76ers with 27 points (13-of-19 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and one three-pointer.

For the first time this season, Daniels has recorded a double-double in consecutive games. And in what was his most productive night of the season, the defensive ace notched a season-high point total while shooting well over 50 percent from the field. The question for Daniels is his ability to produce consistent offense when Trae Young (knee) is available, as the point guard is expected to resume practicing sometime next week. He’ll need to if he’s to get closer to his Yahoo! ADP of 38.
Onyeka Okongwu

Onyeka Okongwu accounted for 20 points (6-of-17 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 15 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and five three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the 76ers.

While Okongwu finished Sunday’s victory with his sixth double-double of the season and first since November 30, his field-goal percentage left something to be desired. The Hawks’ center shot 1-of-7 inside the arc while making 50 percent of his three-point attempts. That said, the overall stat line more than compensates for the poor shooting. With Kristaps Porziņģis (illness) out for at least two weeks, now is the time for fantasy managers to go all-in on Okongwu. Atlanta plays three games in the final four days of Week 9, starting on Thursday.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Nickeil Alexander-Walker (ankle) is available for Sunday’s game against the 76ers.

Initially questionable for Sunday’s game with a sprained right ankle, Alexander-Walker’s status has been upgraded. He’ll continue to serve as the starting point guard, as Trae Young is not ready to return from the knee injury that he suffered in late October. Alexander-Walker should be rostered in 12-team leagues.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Kristaps Porziņģis (illness) will miss at least two weeks as team doctors continue to evaluate him.

Porziņģis has missed seven of Atlanta’s last eight games, with most of the absences occurring due to illness. While it’s unknown if this current situation is connected to the illness that short-circuited the end of his 2024-25 season with the Celtics, this is concerning enough that the Hawks have decided to shut Porziņģis down for at least two more weeks. Fantasy managers should continue to stash him in an IL+ slot, and Onyeka Okongwu will remain Atlanta’s starting center. He’s already rostered in most leagues regardless of format.

Porziņģis will miss a third straight game, the last two due to illness. Onyeka Okongwu, who’s already rostered in most fantasy leagues, will continue to serve as the starting center.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the 76ers.

Alexander-Walker, who has been starting since late October due to Trae Young’s knee injury, is dealing with a right lateral ankle sprain. If he’s unable to play on Sunday, the Hawks will likely turn to Keaton Wallace to fill the void. However, Wallace would not be the only player whose usage would increase, as Jalen Johnson would have the ball in his hands even more than he already does.

Jalen Johnson added 19 points (7-of-19 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 11 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and one three-pointer on Friday in the loss to the Pistons.

Johnson’s triple-double streak stayed alive on Friday as the versatile forward was able to extend the streak to three games, despite being on the wrong end of a blowout loss. He still logged 34 minutes, which he utilized to finish as the Hawks’ leading rebounder and playmaker on the night. The triple-double also marked his fourth in the past six games. Johnson is enjoying a career-best season in terms of his averages per game across the three major categories, and has been one of the best forwards in fantasy basketball leagues up to this point in the season.
Dyson Daniels

ATL Guard #5

Dyson Daniels notched 18 points (6-of-10 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block on Friday in the loss to the Pistons.

Daniels’ production came on a night when the team struggled to stay competitive against the Pistons. Despite the one-sided score, the fourth-year guard tied a team-high in minutes at 34, which allowed him to finish as one of the team’s best scorers, facilitators, and rebounders on the evening. Daniels ended up collecting his third double-double of the season and put together a solid night from a fantasy basketball standpoint. He’ll have a chance to log another productive performance against the Sixers on Sunday.
