Buddy Hield did not see any action in Saturday’s loss to the Hornets.

Available to make his Hawks debut, Hield did not play as Quin Snyder stuck to a nine-man rotation. While things could always change after the All-Star break, since the team will be able to get in some practice time, Hield wasn’t a good fantasy option with the Warriors before the trade. There’s no need to roster him in fantasy leagues.
Onyeka Okongwu

Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) accounted for 16 points (6-of-11 FGs), seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and four three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Hornets.

Wearing a facemask reminiscent of the one worn by Hannibal Lecter, Okongwu returned to the Hawks’ lineup after a four-game absence. The fact that he shot over 50 percent from the field was a positive, as was his ability to play 30 minutes. Jock Landale (five points, one assist and one three-pointer), who shone in his Hawks debut, played 17 minutes off the bench. Unfortunately, fantasy managers will be best served to move on from him with Okongwu back in the fold.
Zaccharie Risacher

Zaccharie Risacher accumulated 18 points (7-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, three blocks and four three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Hornets.

There’s never a good time to suffer an injury, but Risacher’s knee injury came on the heels of him shooting 7-of-9 from three in a January 7 win over the Pelicans. In his first three games back, the Hawks forward shot 2-of-10 from deep, so Saturday’s 4-of-4 effort was a welcome sign. For the season, Risacher is shooting 35 percent from three, making it easy to dismiss Saturday as a departure from the norm. He was also responsible for three blocks in the defeat, another statistical anomaly for the second-year wing.
Jalen Johnson

Jalen Johnson finished Saturday’s loss to the Hornets with 31 points (10-of-18 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), nine rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two three-pointers.

Johnson, who’s headed to the All-Star Game for the first time next week, recorded another stellar stat line on Saturday. The only thing missing was a blocked shot, but he remained efficient as a scorer and playmaker. Over the past two weeks, Johnson has provided top-10 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. The Hawks open a five-game Week 17 on Monday in Minnesota, with three of the games scheduled for after the All-Star break.

Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) is available for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.

Okongwu is back after missing the last four games due to undergoing dental surgery. His return will send Jock Landale to the bench, though it’s worth waiting to see how Landale is used as a reserve before dropping him in fantasy leagues.

Jonathan Kuminga (knee) will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.

Kuminga sustained a bone bruise to his left knee while he was still with the Warriors. The injury occurred in the January 22 game against the Mavericks. The Hawks say the 23-year-old power forward will be sidelined through the All-Star break before being re-evaluated. Fans will have to wait until then before getting their first glimpse of Kuminga in an Atlanta uniform.
Onyeka Okongwu

Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.

Okongwu has missed Atlanta’s last four games after undergoing dental surgery. If he’s able to return on Saturday, that would push the new addition, Jock Landale, to the bench. However, fantasy managers who have rostered Landale should hold onto him until it’s clear how much he’ll play as the backup center.

Jock Landale finished Thursday’s win over the Jazz with 26 points (10-of-14 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and five three-pointers.

According to Landale, he was sitting on the plane, ready to head to Utah, when he was told that he was going to Atlanta instead. And it’s a good thing for the Hawks that they got in on that trade. Making his Hawks’ debut against the Jazz, the 6-foot-11 center became the second player in franchise history to record at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in his debut, joining Glenn Robinson. At a minimum, Landale needs to be rostered as long as the Hawks are without Onyeka Okongwu (mouth).
Jalen Johnson

Jalen Johnson accounted for 22 points (9-of-19 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), 16 rebounds, 15 assists and two blocks in Thursday’s win over the Jazz.

After recording a total of two triple-doubles in his first four NBA seasons, Johnson now has ten in 2025-26 alone. The Hawks’ forward, who was named an All-Star for the first time on Sunday, is the unquestioned cornerstone in Atlanta, and likely for some dynasty league rosters as well. Johnson and the Hawks end Week 16 with a game against the red-hot Hornets on Saturday.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Nickeil Alexander-Walker recorded 23 points (9-of-15 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), two rebounds, five assists and two steals in Thursday’s win over the Jazz.

Alexander-Walker delivered a win on Thursday, as his jumper with 1.3 seconds remaining was the difference in the 121-119 victory. His play throughout the season was one reason why the Hawks were willing to end the Trae Young era, and fantasy managers have also benefited. Alexander-Walker has been close to a top-50 player in eight-cat formats, and there’s no reason to believe that he can’t maintain that production level for the rest of the season.
