The Cubs are finishing up their two-game series against the Royals in Kansas City on Thursday. In case you forgot, Kansas City is located in the state of Missouri, just like St. Louis — home of the Cardinals.
With that piece of information, the Cubs' Twitter account took the opportunity to poke fun at their rival's home city, superimposing a fake tweet over the Kauffman Stadium scoreboard in a photo.
The photo brings back memories of Kris Bryant jokingly calling St. Louis "boring" at 2019 Cubs Convention, which drew the ire of Cardinals fans and players.
