New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is one of the toughest players in the NFL, but it's still unclear if he'll play Sunday when the defending champs travel to New Era Field to play the rival Buffalo Bills.
Edelman left the Patriots' Week 3 win over the New York Jets late in the first half with a reported rib injury. X-rays were negative after the game, and Edelman has been a limited participant in practice all week. Edelman officially is listed as questionable for Sunday's game on the Patriots' injury report Friday.
NBC Sports Boston Patriots insider Phil Perry provided an update on Edelman's hard work to be ready for Sunday's AFC East showdown.
If Edelman were to miss this weekend's game, it would leave veteran wide receivers Josh Gordon and Phillip Dorsett as quarterback Tom Brady's primary targets in the passing attack.
There was an encouraging update for the Patriots. Starting left tackle Marshall Newhouse returned to practice Friday after missing Thursday's session due to illness.
Here is the final Week 4 injury report for both the Patriots and Bills.
