Isaiah Thomas was a great Celtic, but a polarizing Cavalier. Now he's a Laker.
The Cavaliers ended the Thomas experiment Thursday by trading him to Los Angeles ahead of the NBA trade deadline. They followed that by trading Jae Crowder as part of a package for Rodney Hood.
The Celtics traded Thomas, who is in the final year of his contract, to Cleveland as part of the package for Kyrie Irving over the summer. Recovery from offseason hip surgery delayed his debut with the Cavs debut until Jan. 2, and though he averaged 14.7 points a game for Cleveland, he was seen as a central figure in the team's struggles on the court and in the locker room. Most notably, Thomas was believed to have called out Kevin Love in a team meeting.

With Cleveland having traded both Thomas and Crowder, Ante Zizic is now the only player from the Kyrie Irving trade still on the Cavaliers.
