Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading, while NHL hockey is officially back “on!”
*It was a brush with a cruel hockey fate for one European player as he was nearly run down by a Zamboni while doing a live interview on ice. You’ve always got to have your head on a swivel there.
*Toronto Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock is making an effort to join the conversation in changing awareness of mental health. Good for him.
*Interesting piece on St. Louis Blues goaltender and former UMass Lowell goalie Carter Hutton getting into the winery business.
*The owner of the Ottawa Senators has hired a PR firm to try and mend some fences with his fans after some really regrettable recent statements about possibly moving the team amid tough attendance issues.
*Larry Brooks writes that it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the Rangers could make the playoffs. Just a couple of days ago Brooks wrote that there’s going to be a fire sale for Rangers players. So, umm, which is it?
*For something completely different: While the big hype this week is going to be on how good the Black Panthers is going to be, the trailer for “Ant Man and the Wasp” is also very strong as well. Love that they’re using the Adam and the Ants music for it. That’s a nice touch.
