Marchand scores, embraces villain role in NHL All-Star game

Brad Marchand, AKA "the little ball of hate," basked in being the bad guy during Sunday's All-Star festivities.

The lone Bruins representitive in the NHL All-Star game predictably was greeted with loud boos in Tampa Bay, and he loved every second of it.

Marchand contributed with a goal and an assist during the Atlantic Division's 7-4 victory over the Metropolitan Division. After his goal, he couldn't help but give the fans in Tampa a wave and a smile.

The best highlight, however, came when Marchand trolled referees after being tripped by Flames winger Johnny Gaudreau during the Atlantic Division's 5-2 loss to the Pacific Division.

While Marchand clearly enjoyed himself throughout All-Star weekend, he'll have to wait to return to action with the Bruins as he continues to serve his five-game suspension. He's eligible to return to the B's lineup Feb. 7 vs the Rangers.
