Wednesday night's performance against the Raptors was not the Warriors' finest hour. Toronto -- without Kawhi Leonard -- went into Oracle Arena and smacked Golden State by 20.

But on Thursday night, Steve Kerr put things in perspective and had an optimistic outlook for his team.

"We're doing fine, we're not doing great, but you know -- we're doing fine. We're where we need to be," the Warriors coach told Tom Tolbert and John Lund on KNBR 680. "It's not the same -- there's a different vibe, a different feeling. And that's what we have to navigate as a coaching staff. We've got to figure out how we can kind of get these guys through the doldrums of the regular season and keep moving forward and keep getting better. And it's all part of it.

"I think there are definitely game-within-the-game type things that you can do. We've already talked a lot about that -- dividing the season up into quadrants -- trying to figure out are there things we can do with mini-goals that will advance our bigger-picture goals along for the ride.

"It is something that we think about and something that we talk about with the players. But you can't plan for everything. You get some injuries, you get knocked off course a little bit, and then your goals change -- the course changes a little bit. But it's all good as long as you're continuing to move forward."

The Warriors started the season 10-1, but things went south quickly on Nov. 8. Not only did the Bucks beat Golden State by 23 points, but the Warriors lost Stephen Curry to a strained groin.

Then, there was the Kevin Durant-Draymond Green saga, followed by Draymond being sidelined for 11 games. Curry and Draymond are back now, and the Warriors might be poised for a run of victories.

"That's why I still feel really good about where we are -- with the injuries that we've had to Draymond and Steph, to be 19-10 and right at the top of the West -- we're doing fine," Kerr added. "I just want to make sure our habits are solid, and we're not stringing together a number of performances like last night."
