The San Jose Sharks kick off the East Coast leg of their current road trip as they face off with the Buffalo Sabres for the second and final time this season.
Since visiting SAP Center on October 18, the Sabres have gone on a tear and enter Tuesday’s contest having won nine consecutive games. San Jose, looking to rebound after a tough 6-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday, has been given the task of snapping that winning streak.
In their last meeting, the Sharks skated away to a 5-1 victory thanks to three power play goals and a hat trick from Logan Couture. Evander Kane, in his first game against his former team, tallied assists on two goals that evening. Martin Jones, who is expected to be back between the pipes on Tuesday, turned away 24 of 25 shots in that game.
