It was only a matter of time before Antonio Brown clapped back at Baker Mayfield on social media.
The former Raiders receiver, whom the New England Patriots released eight days ago, responded to the Cleveland Browns quarterback's social-media barbs with some jabs of his own early Saturday morning.

Brown, according to ESPN, later deleted a tweet about Mayfield that said "you ain't done nothing in this league the internet only place u would ever talk too or about me."
Since the Pittsburgh Steelers traded him to Oakland in March, Brown has twice been released. Following an offseason dominated by headlines of frostbitten feet, helmet complaints and open feuding with Raiders general manager Mike Mayock, the Silver and Black parted ways with Brown three weeks ago Saturday at his request once they voided his contract guarantees. Brown reportedly will try to recoup some of that money and "is working on" a contract grievance against the Raiders.

The New England Patriots signed Brown shortly after his Raiders release, but his time in Foxboro lasted fewer than two weeks. The Patriots cut Brown amid accusations of sexual assault from former trainer Britney Taylor in a federal lawsuit, as well as those of sexual misconduct from an artist. The latter allegations were reported in a lengthy Sports Illustrated piece, and Brown sent threatening text messages to the accuser soon after its publication. Brown reportedly plans on also filing a grievance against the Patriots.

Sports Illustrated reporter Robert Klemko and Los Angeles Rams safety Eric Weddle, like Mayfield on Saturday morning, drew Brown's social-media ire Friday. Though Brown is enrolled in online classes at Central Michigan University, it seems he is spending most of his newfound free time tweeting through it.
