The A's have agreed to terms with first-round draft pick Austin Beck, a source told NBC Sports California, and the outfielder is expected to be on hand at the Coliseum on Tuesday.
Beck was drafted by the A's with the No. 6 overall pick last week out of North Davidson High School. He was one of the top-rated hitters in the draft, high school or college.
The A's traditionally bring in their top draft picks to meet players and the media after they agree to terms. Position players usually take batting practice too.
It was just a couple weeks ago that Beck took part in a private workout at the Coliseum and put on a show for A's officials, solidifying him as the player the A's wanted.
