HOUSTON -- Right tackle Trent Brown will not play Sunday against the Houston Texans due to a shoulder injury.
Brown was one of the 49ers' seven inactive players announced 90 minutes before kickoff. Brown returned to action last week after missing one game with a shoulder injury. The 49ers listed Brown as questionable for Sunday's game.
The 49ers announced veteran guard Zane Beadles will start at right tackle in place of Brown. Undrafted rookie Darrell Williams is likely to serve as the backup at both tackle positions.

The 49ers' uncertainty at tackle comes as they face one of the top pass-rushers in the game. Texans fourth-year defensive end Jadeveon Clowney ranks among the league leaders with nine sacks on the season.
The 49ers deactivated three defensive linemen: Ronald Blair, D.J. Jones and Leger Douzable. Aaron Lynch is active for the first time since he sustained a calf injury in Week 6. Lynch has missed six consecutive games.
