Lorenzo Jerome's tenure with the 49ers is over after just five weeks.
The undrafted rookie defensive back was waived Monday in order to make room for cornerbacker Dexter McCoil, who was claimed off waivers from the Chargers.
Jerome, signed out of Saint Francis (PA) played in four games this season for the 49ers. He recorded three tackles.

The Chargers signed McCoil as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He started two games for them last season and played in two games for Los Angeles this season.
