  • PIT Wide Receiver #14

Pickens’ nine targets handily led the team on a night no other pass-catcher saw more than four looks on 29 Russell Wilson pass attempts. The two connected from 11 yards out just before the half following a Beanie Bishop interception that gave the Steelers the momentum for the remainder of the contest. Most notable from the connection between Pickens and Wilson were the timing-based receptions on either back shoulder or over-the-shoulder catches, something Pickens had not developed with Justin Fields during the first six weeks of the season. Pickens should have another solid opportunity for elite fantasy production in Week 8 when the Steelers host the Giants.
  • PIT Running Back #22
Harris did most of his damage in the second half after the offense struggled to get much going before the break, capping the game off with a touchdown from 10 yards out with under a minute left to play. Harris had a 30-plus-yard carry for the second consecutive game, vaulting him over the 100-yard threshold in the process. Most notably, he saw 21 carries to the 12 of Jaylen Warren, signifying he is still entrusted with the lead back role in Pittsburgh. Up next for Harris and the Steelers are the Giants at home in Week 8.
  • PIT Quarterback #3
The Pittsburgh offense looked understandably shaky for most of the first half until an interception by rookie Beanie Bishop gave them momentum just before the half. Wilson would lead the team down the field and into the end zone to bring the Steelers within two points heading into the break. That momentum carried into the second half as Pittsburgh hung 24 points on a battered New York defense. The Steelers’ offense looked much more fluid with Wilson under center, with the veteran quarterback giving the offense an element of downfield ability they had sorely been lacking during the first six weeks of the season. Wilson made multiple “touch” throws based on timing and ball placement, with alpha wide receiver George Pickens doing most of the heavy lifting. The Steelers surged to 5-2 ahead of a Week 8 matchup with the reeling Giants at home.
  • NYJ Wide Receiver #17
Rodgers wasted no time getting Adams involved in New York, targeting his longtime teammate on the first play from scrimmage. Like many other passes thrown his way, the pass hit the deck as an incompletion, something that is likely to improve after so many years playing together in Green Bay. Most notably, Adams held a lofty slot snap rate against the Steelers, which could keep him away from opposing top corners moving forward. Adams and Rodgers will look to rekindle their connection in Week 8 against the Patriots.
  • NYJ Wide Receiver #5
While Wilson didn’t handily lead the team in targets as he had to begin the season, he tied with Breece Hall and Davante Adams in targets while playing mostly on the perimeter. It was Adams that held an elevated slot snap rate in this one, something fantasy managers will want to monitor as the season progresses considering the number of changes this franchise has been through during the previous two weeks. Wilson and the Jets could find more room to maneuver against the Patriots in Week 8.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Hall led the team in both rushing and receiving and had a first half for the ages. All momentum was lost following two costly interceptions from quarterback Aaron Rodgers as the Jets struggled to maintain drives after the break, keeping Hall from a massive fantasy outing. Even so, the returns from Hall have been promising after the coaching change in New York after two games of featured usage. Hall and the Jets travel to Foxboro to face the Patriots in Week 8.
  • NYJ Quarterback #8
The Jets seemed to be in control of the game until a late second quarter interception allowed the Steelers to claw their way back into the game, a swing in momentum that Rodgers and the Jets could not overcome after leading 15-6 at the time of the interception. They would be held off the scoreboard for the entirety of the second half, watching from the sidelines as the Steelers hung 24 points in the second frame on a battered defense. Rookie Beanie Bishop recorded both interceptions off of Rodgers for his first two picks of his career. The Jets fall to 2-5 and find themselves searching for answers after firing their head coach and trading for wide receiver Davante Adams. Rodgers will look to get back on track when the Jets travel to Foxboro to face the Patriots in Week 8.
  • KC Wide Receiver #17
Hardman took a carry to the house from 20 yards out in the second half against a reeling Niners defense. Hardman would have had another score — a receiving touchdown reminiscent of his game winner in last year’s Super Bowl — had he not slipped off the line of scrimmage. We could see Hardman’s role in the run-first KC offense grow next week against the Raiders if JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) is sidelined. He ran just 11 routes on 33 Chiefs drop backs against the 49ers.
  • SF Quarterback #13
Without Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Deebo Samuel (illness) of most of the contest, Purdy was reduced to running for his life against an aggressive KC defense. He was erratic as a passer throughout but saved his fantasy day with two rushing scores. Purdy has seen his touchdown rate plunge this season in a suddenly inefficient Kyle Shanahan offense that won’t look the same until its superstars return to full health. Purdy has a solid Week 8 matchup against a hopeless Dallas defense.
  • SF Running Back #24
Mason struggled to get loose against a stiff Kansas City front seven that did not have to respect the Niners’ passing offense with Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Deebo Samuel (illness) sidelined. Mason continues to work as the team’s lead back but is very much limited by his lack of pass game involvement. Mason has a plus matchup in Week 8 against the Cowboys and their bottom-dwelling rush defense.
