Aaron Rodgers completed 24-of-39 passes for 276 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Jets’ 37-15, Week 7 loss to the Steelers.

The Jets seemed to be in control of the game until a late second quarter interception allowed the Steelers to claw their way back into the game, a swing in momentum that Rodgers and the Jets could not overcome after leading 15-6 at the time of the interception. They would be held off the scoreboard for the entirety of the second half, watching from the sidelines as the Steelers hung 24 points in the second frame on a battered defense. Rookie Beanie Bishop recorded both interceptions off of Rodgers for his first two picks of his career. The Jets fall to 2-5 and find themselves searching for answers after firing their head coach and trading for wide receiver Davante Adams. Rodgers will look to get back on track when the Jets travel to Foxboro to face the Patriots in Week 8.
Mecole Hardman

KC Wide Receiver #17

Mecole Hardman caught 1-of-2 targets for 17 yards in the Chefs’ Week 7 win against the 49ers, adding two rushes for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Hardman took a carry to the house from 20 yards out in the second half against a reeling Niners defense. Hardman would have had another score — a receiving touchdown reminiscent of his game winner in last year’s Super Bowl — had he not slipped off the line of scrimmage. We could see Hardman’s role in the run-first KC offense grow next week against the Raiders if JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) is sidelined. He ran just 11 routes on 33 Chiefs drop backs against the 49ers.
Brock Purdy

SF Quarterback #13

Brock Purdy completed 17-of-31 attempts for 212 yards and three interceptions in the 49ers’ 28-18 Week 7 loss against the Chiefs, adding eight rushes for 27 yards and two touchdowns.

Without Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Deebo Samuel (illness) of most of the contest, Purdy was reduced to running for his life against an aggressive KC defense. He was erratic as a passer throughout but saved his fantasy day with two rushing scores. Purdy has seen his touchdown rate plunge this season in a suddenly inefficient Kyle Shanahan offense that won’t look the same until its superstars return to full health. Purdy has a solid Week 8 matchup against a hopeless Dallas defense.
Jordan Mason

SF Running Back #24

Jordan Mason had 14 rushes for 58 yards in the 49ers’ Week 7 loss against the Chiefs, adding two catches for 11 yards.

Mason struggled to get loose against a stiff Kansas City front seven that did not have to respect the Niners’ passing offense with Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Deebo Samuel (illness) sidelined. Mason continues to work as the team’s lead back but is very much limited by his lack of pass game involvement. Mason has a plus matchup in Week 8 against the Cowboys and their bottom-dwelling rush defense.
George Kittle

SF Tight End #85

George Kittle caught 6-of-7 targets for 92 yards in the 49ers’ Week 7 loss against the Chiefs.

Kittle was the team’s top pass catcher with Deebo Samuel sidelined with an illness and Brandon Aiyuk going down with a potentially serious knee injury. Kittle led the team in every receiving category and came down with a 33-yard pass from Brock Purdy — one of the only big plays of the day for the struggling San Francisco offense. Kittle, with at least five catches in four of his past five games, will be an elite fantasy option in Week 8 against a bad Dallas coverage unit.
Kareem Hunt

KC Running Back #29

Kareem Hunt had 22 rushes for 78 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs’ Week 7 win against the 49ers, adding two catches for five yards.

Hunt keeps on keeping on as the centerpiece of the new-look, run-first Kansas City offense. He had 22 of the Chiefs’ 30 running back rushes and found the end zone twice inside the ten yard line against a quietly exploitable Niners run defense. With 52 touches over his past two games as the Chiefs’ lead back, Hunt should be considered a RB1 option for Week 8 against the Raiders.
Patrick Mahomes

KC Quarterback #15

Patrick Mahomes completed 16-of-27 attempts for 154 yards and two interceptions in the Chiefs’ 28-18 Week 7 win against the 49ers, adding five rushes for 39 yards and a touchdown.

The Chiefs were once again run heavy, logging 38 rushing attempts with Kareem Hunt leading the way. Kansas City lost another pass catcher, JuJu Smith-Schuster, who aggravated a lingering hamstring issue. Mahomes powered his way into the end zone for a short rushing score in the fourth quarter to avoid a another catastrophic fantasy outing. The offensive injuries plaguing the Chiefs and the team’s stellar defense likely mean Mahomes won’t be asked to do much this season. He has one touchdown pass over his past three games. Mahomes should be considered a superflex-only option in Week 8 against Raiders.
Jayden Daniels

WAS Quarterback #5

Commanders HC Dan Quinn said Jayden Daniels (ribs) will undergo more tests after the team’s Week 7 win over the Panthers.

The most information we have on Daniels’ injury came from his mother, who posted on social media that he was “fine” shortly after he left the field. Things didn’t look too serious on the sideline, as Daniels appeared jovial and in good spirits with his teammates when he returned to the field, but these additional tests will be the real tell as to the severity of his injury. If Daniels is unable to go in Week 8 against the Bears, Marcus Mariota will make his first start of the season.
D.J. Reed

NYJ Cornerback #4

Jets declared CB D.J. Reed, OT Carter Warren, OL Max Mitchell, RB Israel Abanikanda, EDGE Braiden McGregor, WR Malachi Corley, and CB Michael Carter inactive in Week 7 against the Steelers.

Reed came into the game listed as a game-time decision after suffering a groin injury in the team’s Monday Night Football loss to the Bills. That said, the Jets get a new face in the locker room in the form of wide receiver Davante Adams, who will suit up for his new team just five days after being acquired via trade with the Raiders.
Brandon Aiyuk

SF Wide Receiver #11

Brandon Aiyuk (knee) was ruled out of the 49ers’ Week 7 game against the Chiefs.

Aiyuk took a frightening hit to his left knee on a reception just before halftime. He hobbled to the blue medical tent before being carted to the locker room. It would be something of a surprise if Aiyuk, who has 23 catches for 351 scoreless yards on the season, doesn’t miss significant time. His absence would make Jauan Jennings an interesting fantasy option when he returns from his hip injury.
