  • FA General Manager

Phil Savage, a former general manager for the Browns and a member of New York’s front office, will serve as the Jets’ interim GM. Douglas is out after five and a half seasons as New York’s general manager. It hardly comes as a shock after the front office’s gamble on 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers turned out disastrously on every front. The Jets are 3-8 in another lost season without any clear path forward outside a total teardown and years-long rebuild. Douglas bet on Rodgers and lost badly. The Jets were 30-64 with Douglas as GM. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports the team’s GM search would begin immediately.
  • PIT Quarterback #2
Fields in Week 11 had two rushes for 17 yards after weeks of Steelers coaches talking up a Fields rushing package. Smith said Fields would have had more usage against Baltimore if the Steelers had not stalled out on several first half drives. He stressed that the team does not see Fields as a gadget player. “We have two starting quarterbacks,” Smith said Tuesday. “It’s a very unique situation.” More usage for Fields — especially in the red zone — could make Russell Wilson unviable in one-quarterback fantasy formats.
  • DAL Quarterback #19
McCarthy told reporters after the game that he should have allowed Lance to run the offense near the end of the blowout loss. “I could’ve gotten him a series. That’s one thing that I would second-guess myself on,” McCarthy said. “I didn’t want to get into putting him in for a play or two, because he’s more than a gadget player in my opinion. We had him prepared to take a series, and frankly there at the end I should’ve gave him that series, and I regret not doing that.” With the Dallas offense going nowhere under backup QB Cooper Rush, Lance could see opportunities down the stretch. The dual-threat Lance should be rostered in superflex formats just in case.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #88
Head coach Mike McCarthy did everything he could to get Lamb involved early and often but an early injury to tight end Jake Ferguson meant the Texans could continuously roll additional coverage to Lamb. Furthermore, quarterback Cooper Rush made several off-target throws directed at Lamb, which Lamb released on the sideline with a passionate display of frustration. It’s hard not to point to the offseason contract sagas between Lamb and Prescott as at least contributing factors to a lost season. Lamb could see a quarterback change in Week 12 if the team wants an extended look at Trey Lance ahead of their game against the Commanders.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #3
Dell matched Nico Collins in targets, receptions, and yardage, but it was clear on the field who the alpha pass-catcher is in this offense now that Collins is healthy again. Collins had a 77-yard touchdown called back for an ineligible man downfield on the first play from scrimmage and also had another catch overturned after a successful challenge, with Dell seeing most of his usage as the second read in the offense. Dell will always see a few designed touches to leverage his upside with the ball in his hands, but the volume behind those schemed looks is largely lacking with Collins back in the fold. Dell could struggle to return consistent WR3 numbers the rest of the way.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #12
Collins took a screen 77 yards to the house on the first play from scrimmage, only for it to be wiped off the scoreboard due to an ineligible man downfield. He had another reception erased from his ledger after a successful challenge, leaving him with an uninspiring 54 yards in his return to the active roster. Even so, Collins made it through the game fully healthy as he looks to continue his torrid start to the season he enjoyed prior to injury. Up next is a difficult matchup against the Titans in Week 12.
  • HOU Running Back #28
Mixon scored two first-half touchdowns but completely took over the game after the break, punching in a third score with under five minutes to play in the fourth quarter. Mixon has now scored at least once in six consecutive games and has gone over 100 yards on the ground in five of his previous six games, with Week 11 marking the third time this season in which he has scored multiple times. The veteran running back continues to perform as one of the top fantasy values after falling to the fifth round in drafts this offseason, getting another potential eruption spot against the Titans in Week 12.
  • HOU Quarterback #7
Stroud started hot while the game remained close but took a back seat to Joe Mixon in the second half as the Texans played with a substantial lead. Two first half touchdowns by Mixon were added to in the fourth quarter, accounting for all three offensive scores on the evening. Stroud did have a touchdown wiped off the board due to penalty after Nico Collins took the first play from scrimmage to the house, only to be backed up by an ineligible man downfield. Either way, Stroud guided the Texans to a much needed win after dropping three of their previous four, enough to keep a two-game lead on the Colts in the AFC South. The Texans turn their attention to the 2-8 Titans in Week 12.
  • DAL Tight End #87
Ferguson was forced from the game early in the first quarter and has already been ruled out for the remainder, having been placed in the league’s concussion protocol. Already shorthanded without quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys face an early 14-0 deficit against the Texans and will be forced to claw their way back into the game minus one of their primary pass-catchers. Ferguson caught his lone target for 11 yards prior to departing and could be looking at an uphill battle to gain clearance for Week 12 on a short week.
  • SF Defensive End #97
Bosa injured his hip and oblique in the team’s Week 11 loss to the Seahawks, raising concerns after the veteran pass rusher came into the week with oblique discomfort. The new injury is reportedly on the other side, with initial reports indicating it could be a “compensation injury,” meaning the other muscles surrounding the affected area were working to overcome an injury elsewhere. Fans will want to keep an eye on his status after a devastating loss that dropped the 49ers into last place in the NFC West.
